The army said on Saturday that two militants were killed in the ongoing operation in the ice bound area of Kishtar district of Jammu-Jammu and Kashmir. A terrorist was ineffective a day earlier.
Official sources said the terrorists used to shoot on Saturday, affiliated to Pakistan-based Jai-e-Mohammed organization and included a top commander, Saifullah, who had been active in the Chenb Valley region for the last one year.
The Army’s Jammu-based White Knight Corps said in a post on X, “Chhatru, despite the ongoing operations in the installment, two more Pakistani terrorists have been abolished. Two more Pakistani terrorists have been abolished. Shops including large quantities such as AK and an M4 rifle have been recovered.”
An ultra was killed on Friday morning when security forces established contact with terrorists during the operations started on Wednesday after a brief encounter. Officials said that operations continue.
He said that a separate operation to track a group of three other terrorists is also going on in Basantgarh and Ramnagar areas of Udhampur district from Wednesday.
