The statement said that a two -year -old girl from a remote village of Kamjong district of Manipur was rescued by Assam Rifles on Monday.
The Little Girl, Miss Chuchut, resident of Grihang village, who is located in one of the most inaccessible parts of Manipur, accidentally fell into a water tank at 5.40 am on Monday.
Given the village’s foresight, for this, with no appropriate roads, the residents had little hope of timely medical support, it was very little hope.
The statement said that when Assam Rifles immediately took soldiers and medical personnel to the village on calling a crisis in Assam, the situation changed. He managed to reach the village on time and stabilized the child with first aid.
The statement said that after this, the soldiers called the Assam Rifles Military Hospital in a military helicopter for evacuation in the state capital Imphal. Despite the logical challenges, uninterrupted coordination ensured that the child was in expert care within hours of the accident.

Expert pediatric care at the Assam Rifles Military Hospital in Mantripukhri ensured that the child was brought out of serious threat, the statement said, timely intervene was important and any delay could cost his life.
The child’s parents said, “We felt that we were going to lose it. Assam Rifles gave him back,” and thanked Assam Rifles.

Their readiness, even in the most challenging terrain, inspires deep confidence among local communities,” said in the statement.
During the floods in Manipur in 2024 amid ethnic tension, Assam Rifles were one of the main forces along with other disaster response teams, who saved hundreds of citizens who were trapped at home as a water level.
Former Chief Minister N. Biren Singh also thanked Assam Rifles for his help.
