The Odisha police on Saturday recovered the body of a man and a girl hanging from a tree in Kalahandi district.
Police said the bodies of a 23 -year -old man and a 17 -year -old girl were found hanging from a tree in Kodala village under Ampani police station area of the district.
Police suspect that they died of suicide as their ‘relationship’ was allegedly not accepted by their families, as they belonged to different castes.
Police said, “They must have died of suicide as their relationship was not accepted by their families,” the police said that both the victims were from the same village.
Police said that “further investigation is going on” and the bodies have been sent for the post -mortem examination.
