24 airport closed, blackout in many cities after Pak strike

New Delhi:

India on Thursday evening thwarted Pakistan’s efforts to target 15 places in the country amid growing tension between the two countries, a result of a terrorist attack in Pathankot in Jammu and Kashmir on 22 April, in which 26 people were killed, most of the tourists.

The international border has been under heavy shelling, and after the difference of Pakistani drones, blackouts were implemented in many cities of Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Rajasthan and the explosions were heard. Airports across the country are on high alert amid high stress.

In early Wednesday, India launched ‘Operation Sindoor’, killing terrorist bases in Pakistan in response to the Pahgam attack. Nine deep terrorist sites were destroyed inside Pakistan, an initial release said.
