25 killed in electrical attacks, hailstorm in Bihar

Officials on Thursday killed at least 25 people in power attacks and hailstorms in several districts of Bihar.

According to a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), Nalanda reported 18 deaths, followed by two in Siwan, one in Katihar, Darbhanga, Begusarai, Bhagalpur and Jehanabad.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar mourned the death and announced a former Gratia of Rs 4 lakh in each for the family of the victims.

On Wednesday, 13 people were killed in electric attacks in four districts of Bihar.

The Indian Meteorological Department has been released an ‘Orange Alert’ (prepared) for several districts including Darbhanga, Eastern Champaran, Gopalganj, West Champaran, Kinshanj, Aria, Supul, Gaya, Sitamari, Shohar, Nallanda, Nawada and Patna.

Heavy rainfall has also been estimated in these districts on Friday and Saturday.

IMAD said, “Thunderstorms like Madhubani, Darbhanga, Eastern Champaran, Gopalganj, West Champaran, Kishunganj, Aria, Gaya, Sitamari, Shohar, Naland, Nawada, Patna with thunder with thunder.

After heavy rains, water-logging was reported from several parts of Patna on Thursday.

The state capital recorded an average of 42.6 mm rainfall till 5.30 pm.

However, Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) and district administration officials claimed that rainwater was excluded in the shortest possible time despite heavy rains.
