Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Sunday announced the approval of additional installment of three percent dearness allowance (DA) for all state government employees.
The revised DA will be applicable from 1 July 2024 to January 1, 2025.
Earlier in the day, against the backdrop of the recent Pahalgam terror attack, the Chief Minister held an important meeting to review the measures to identify and expel Pakistani citizens from the state along with state police officers, following the instructions of the Center, with state police officers.
He said that the state government had already taken active steps to ensure their departure to identify Pakistani citizens in Madhya Pradesh under short-term or non-official visa and as per prescribed guidelines.
Addressing the meeting on Saturday, the Chief Minister said, “According to the instructions given by the Honorable Prime Minister and the respected Home Minister Shri Amit Shah to the Madhya Pradesh government, I held a meeting today. We have prepared from the state to expel the Pakistani visa holders who are not on the long or official scene.”
Yadav said, “We have issued instructions on the basis of guidelines given by the government today to ensure that such persons have been removed from the state after 27th. I believe, as the recent incident happened in the village, and as the government has issued instructions in coordination with all the state governments, we are following all those instructions in Madhya Pradesh.”
As part of the counterichers after the Pahalgam terror attack, the central government has taken several strong action against Pakistan. These include suspending the Indus Water Treaty and closing the integrated check post on the attic border.
The government has also canceled the visa issued under the SARC VISA exemption scheme (Sves). India has declared defense/military, Navy and aerial advisors as personality non -Grata at the Pakistani High Commission and ordered them to leave India within a week.
India has decided to withdraw its defense, Navy and aerial advisors from the Indian High Commission in Islamabad. These posts in both high commissions have now been canceled. Five assistant staff members of service advisors will also be withdrawn from both missions.
