Patna:
In a shocking incident, a woman was gang -raped by three people near Sasamusa railway station under Kuchkot police station area in Gopalgangan district on Monday.
Police said the incident occurred at 5 am when the woman, who was returning to her father’s house in Shyampur village to help her medical treatment, was returning to Uttar Pradesh.
When she was waiting for her train at Sasamusa station, she went to a nearby hand pump to bring water. It was there that three unidentified people allegedly approached her mouth and surrounded her mouth.
They took her to the railway station and gang-raped her one by one. After committing the crime, they fled from the spot, leaving the victim at the site.
After this incident, the distressed woman returned to her paralyzed father and he conveyed the ordinance.
Knowing about the incident, local residents immediately informed the police.
While working fast, the police reached the spot, conducted a medical examination of the victim, which confirmed the gang rape, and on the basis of their statement, registered an FIR under the relevant sections of the Indian Nayahita (BNS) at Kuchakot Police Station.
The victim also described the details of the three accused. So far, one of the accused has been arrested and has been identified as Abhishek Bind, a resident of Kuchakot.
The arrested youth are currently being questioned, while continuous raids are being conducted to catch the remaining two suspects.
Confirming the incident, Pranjal, Sadar SDPO said: “Action is being taken by recording the victim’s statement. One youth has been arrested. The other accused will also be arrested soon.”
