At least three laborers were killed and five were important after the crane collapsed during the construction of a bridge in the Khan Nagar area in Cuttack, Odisha. According to reports, some cement slabs also collapsed, trapping workers.
The work was going on for a bridge over the Kathjodi River, when a crane, picking up some heavy concrete slabs, collapsed. The witnesses say that the laborers below were crushed under the slab.
The seriously injured laborers have been admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for treatment.
