Police said on Sunday that thirty -one persons were arrested here during the birthday party to keep and use drugs. Seven of them were women, including a Chinese citizen.
According to the police, they raided a farmhouse near Kannamangala Gate at 5 am, worked on information about a party.
Almost all attendees are asked to work in the IT area.
Verification showed that drugs were used during the birthday party overnight, police said.
“A total of 31 people have been arrested. One of the women is the national national,” the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Bangalore North East Zone, VJ Sajeth told PTI.
Both the peddlers and consumers arrested are included. He said that his blood and urine samples have been collected and sent to Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL).
When asked about the total number of people present in the party, Sajat said, “Prima Feshi, we have found that 31 people participated. The small amount of cocaine, hash, and a drug called hydro ganja was confiscated from some of them. Almost all are private sector employees working in IT industry.” A case has been registered under the intoxicating drugs and psychotropic substances (NDPS) Act, and investigation is underway.
