The 40 -year -old Asha worker was found dead in a Mecca Maidan in Alpur area here, in which the police suspected sexual harassment.
Asha’s body (recognized social health worker) activist was found in a semi-naked position on Monday night. Officials said the exact cause of death would be confirmed after the body examination.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Brijesh Singh said that the deceased, the princess was identified as the princess, the wife of Raghavendra Jatav and residents of Hayatnagar village went to Kundan Nagla village on Monday for a vaccination campaign.
He said that the last time was seen returning to a scooty with a known ANM (assistant nurse Dai) in his village in the evening, after which she went missing, said.
Police came to know about the body through 112 emergency service. He said that the body was found in a maize ground under the limit of Alpur police station in Kharholi village.
He said that a forensic team was called to the spot, and the body was sent for examination after completing the necessary legal formalities.
SSP Singh said that the princess had two sons and had a daughter from her marriage with Raghavendra, from which she married in 2003 after the death of her first wife. Raghavendra also has a son of his first marriage. The deceased was involved in a land dispute in a civil court in Budoon against two people from the same village.
The SSP said that they have formed four teams including SOG and monitoring units to investigate the case.
Based on the suspicion raised by the family, two persons have been detained for questioning.
