786 Pakistani citizens left India through the Attari-Vagah border after the Pahgam attack

A senior official said that 786 citizens of Pakistan have left India through the Attari-Vaga border point within six days starting on April 24.

The official said that during the same time, a total of 1376 Indians have returned from Pakistan through the Attari-Waga border.

On 24 April, the government announced that Pakistani citizens should leave India by 27 April, and the medical visas had to do so till April 29. People with diplomatic, official and long -term visas were excluded from the ‘holiday India’ notice. The deadline of Pakistanis ended on Sunday to any of the 12 categories of short -term visas.

The ban on the stay of Pakistani citizens came after a terrorist attack in Pahgam in Jammu and Kashmir, where 26 tourists were killed.

The government strongly advised Indian citizens to avoid visit to Pakistan. Currently, those Indian citizens in Pakistan are also advised to return to India as soon as possible.

“Many people have flying through Dubai or other routes, as there is no direct flight for Pakistan. We are hoping that more Pakistan citizens are expected to leave the country to leave the country as police and other central agencies,” the official said.

A large verification drive in all states is running in close coordination with central intelligence agencies.

Strict action will be taken against Pakistani citizens, and their stay will be considered illegal. If they continue their migration in India after April 29, another official said that who is closely monitoring the situation.
