Charachandpur:
A joint security meeting between the central forces and the Manipur Police on Wednesday said in a statement issued by Assam Rifles that the coordination efforts were discussed between the forces in Charachandpur and Kaking districts to maintain peace.
The meeting was held on Tuesday by Assam Rifles.
Kaching and Charachandpur, Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Border Security Force (BSF) and representatives of Manipur police personnel participated in the review meeting by representatives of Sugna and Sangikot police stations.
The statement stated, “It was focused on strengthening collective efforts to preserve peace and stability in the fields of consultation, especially in Sugna and Cacking district, in the nearby areas and in the Charachandpur district, in Lelofai and nearby areas,” said in the statement.
The meeting headed by senior officials of Assam Rifles emphasized the extending inter-agency coordination for an integrated and effective security approach.
He said, “It was proposed to improve the operations of operations regularly in nearby areas and to create mutual confidence between forces,” he said.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of joining local communities to support permanent livelihood initiative.
“All agencies agreed to the need for a coordinated outreach to provide all the necessary security to the development activities in the region. This collaborative effort reflects the shared commitment of all the participating forces to ensure long -term peace, stability and community welfare in the field,” the release said.
Assam Rifles organized a separate security meeting with civil society groups and village heads in Kotlane in Kangpokpi district.
A total of 16 persons, including representatives of various organizations and village heads, attended the ceremony.
Officials of Assam Rifles assured to take all possible steps for the internal displaced people (IDP) status and the development of the village infrastructure.
The village heads and CSO representatives were requested to motivate young men and women for Agnivar recruitment registration, which was being held in Kotlane.
