Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati on Saturday criticized the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi for speaking on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill during a long debate in Parliament.

The former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister said, “It is natural for Muslims to feel very angry and India’s block partners have to be stimulated on this issue”.

“Despite the Opposition condemning the Waqf (Amendment) Bill and dubbing it as a CAA blast case, the LOP in the Lok Sabha is that they do not speak on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill in the House, despite the fact that there was a widespread debate on the issue?” He said in his post on X in Hindi.

Mayawati said that “In any case, Congress and BJP are equally guilty of welfare, to deprive Dalits of government jobs, education almost reservation rights are ineffective and futile education”.

“It is important that religious minorities realize the need to avoid deception of these parties,” he said.

The BSP chief said that “Bahujan has performed poorly in all aspects” “Such such strategies of these parties” also have the right to take the law into their hands.

He said, “The issue of privatization in power and other regions is also worrying and the government should discharge its constitutional responsibility towards the welfare of people in all honesty.”
