Google on Thursday announced the release of Android 16 QPR1 Beta 3 for developers and beta testers. It is being rolled out as an over-the-air (OTA) for pixel phones and improves fix by Android 16 QPR beta 2.1 which was released last month. Tech veteran said its latest update missing status does not fully display bugs related to bar icons, notification issues, non-functional cameras and launcher. The QPR Beta 3 also includes the July 2025 Android security patch.
Android 16 QPR1 beta 3 updated changes
According to Google’s release notes, The new Android 16 QPR1 beta 3 update fixes a problem, causing the phone to be unexpectedly rebooted. This RTOS work list was attributed to corruption. Another bug, which stopped the launcher completely displaying, has also been fixed. A user reported the disappearance of the taskbar at the pixel fold, while the Google bar did not appear to be out of the app on another phone.
Many issues were also reported while displaying information. Bugs reportedly caused a ghost overla. It has also been decided.
Tech giant has also cured big problems with the media player, resulting in the progress bar disappeared, the player is getting off-off from the lock screen, and the non-functional control of the mini player in the status bar. A crash issue was also reported, which is said to be due to class loader issues. All issues have been patched after Android 16 QPR1 beta 3 update.
Apart from these, the update camera also takes the fix for the UI -related bugs, which causes the phone to be restarted due to the kernel problem, and the status bar icon’s corner padding is missing.

According to Google, all pixel phones that are enrolled in Android beta for pixel programs and have received previous updates will be eligible to get Android 16 QPR1 beta 3. It will be introduced as an over-the-air (OTA) update. The list includes:
