Apple unveiled the iOS 26 as the next repetition of the iPhone operating system (OS) in June 2025. Since then, a couple of developer beta updates have been released, enabling beta examiners with new features. However, iOS 26 Public Beta has not yet to see daylight. According to an experienced journalist, public beta construction of the upcoming OS may be released soon as this week. Meanwhile, development on iOS 27 is also said to start soon.
iOS 26 public beta release timeline
In the question -answer section of the latest power on the newspaper, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg answered a question about the release timeline of iOS 26 Public Beta. According to the journalist, “hints” are that iOS 26 will go to this “coming week” in the public beta phase. This cupertino-based tech veteran is somewhat delayed compared to the previous release timeline of public beta updates.
For example, the first iOS 18 public beta was sown in mid -July last year. A similar timeline was followed for iOS 17 and pre -release. But why delay?
According to Gurman, the iOS 26 is expected to arrive with a “important” overhaul, including elements such as the new liquid glass user interface (UI). Due to this, Apple may take “a little extra time” to keep everything in order. However, the delay is not an indicator of the Delay in the final construction of the OS.
