Apple’s upcoming foldable iPhone, now called a large book-style device, is slowly starting to take shape. In many rumors, in months, there was some confusion about which design approach Apple would take for its first foldable. However, analysts and recent notes of leaks have begun to suggest a book-style design. A recent leak suggested that Apple has proceeded with its choice of near Cree’s-Free Display with Samsung’s only supplier. Now, more information has been revealed about the display used on the foldable iPhone.
According to a boat Blogger The ‘Yeux1122’ is called the information from the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo, Apple’s foldable iPhone will use a basic hole-Pancha camera for its first foldable. It is a departure from Apple’s general biometric certification technique called face ID, which has now become a standard on all iPhone models after the launch of the iPhone 16E. It turns out, Apple has not yet been done with touch ID on iPhones, and will use fingerprint-based biometric authentication technology (currently used in its affordable iPad models) for its upcoming foldable.
An earlier note by the famous analyst Ming-Chi Quo also mentioned it. He said that the device would be a book-style foldable, which should be retail between $ 2,000 and $ 2,500, and claimed that it should hit production in the fourth quarter of 2026. His note also mentioned that 7.8-inch performance would be crease-free and the cover display would measure 5.5 inches. The device “is 9-9.5 mm thick and 4.5–4.8 mm when it comes to the fore.”
The new source, in addition to repeating the size of the performance, also suggests that the cover display will sports a resolution of 2,088 x 1,422 pixels, while the larger inner display will have a resolution of 2,713 x 1,920 pixels. These display specifications are not very different from the X Fold 3 Pro of Vivo or the Galaxy Z fold 6 of Samsung, not very different.
Given that Apple still uses an embedded touch ID in the power button of the magic keyboard on MacBook and iPad, we expect a similar implementation on the upcoming foldable. Some techniques for foldable iPhone are borrowed from another upcoming smartphone called iPhone 17 Air. The thinnest iPhone of Apple is said to be measured just 5.5 mm thick. A previous report also mentions that the foldable display will have a 4: 3 aspect ratio, which today is similar to most Android-operated foldable devices on sales.
