Mitei Armed Group PLA terrorist wanted in Assam Hotel raid

He was allegedly involved in several rebel operations in the violence-hit state.


Guwahati:

A desired member of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA), a restricted Metei terrorist organization, has been arrested by the Guwahati police from a hotel in Paltan Bazar neighborhood in the city.

Arrested rebel, 31 -year -old Mayanglambam Bobby Singh, is a resident of Kaking district of Manipur. He was allegedly involved in several rebel operations in the violence-hit state.

The police raided the hotel where he was living on the basis of reliable intelligence about his location.

PLA rebel, East Guwahati Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Mrinal Deka said that before shifting to Peltan Bazaar, PLA rebel, living in a hotel in Behbari, was living in a hotel in Behbari, he said that he was not resisted during the arrest.

The police officer told reporters, “Singh is a major operative related to many armed activities in Manipur. He is now in police custody and is being fully questioned.”

Police sources said that as an extension of the investigation, more arrests could be followed.
