A statement stated that more than 400 houses were damaged as heavy rains, as well as thunder, killed Tripura.
Electricity connectivity was also disrupted, in which 49 poles were damaged, it said.
Two persons were injured in the taxbook in Gomti district as their houses collapsed. He was identified as Nayan Kumar Tripura (70) and Rumati Tripura (39).
The statement said, “Due to heavy rains and storms in Tripura in the early hours of April 21, wide havoc was created as 445 houses were damaged – completely, partially or seriously,” said in the statement.
All the major rivers including Gomti, Muhuri and Feni are flowing below the flood level, it said.
