Chamaarajanagar:

The Karnataka cabinet on Thursday passed a resolution against the Pahalgam terror attack during its meeting in Chamrajnagar. This information was given by Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah, while he was talking to reporters.

Siddaramaiah expressed his solidarity with the Government of India and said that there is a failure of intelligence in the central government.

Siddaramaiah told reporters, “A proposal condemning the incident has been passed in a cabinet meeting and we have also expressed our solidarity with the Government of India. There is a failure of intelligence in the central government”.

Meanwhile, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar said that he is standing with the central government as the integrity of the nation is of great importance. He said that some people are trying to politicize this issue which should not be done and peace should be maintained.

“We are standing by the government because the integrity of the nation is very important. Some of them are trying to politicize … We should all maintain peace and no one should politicize it …”, DKS said.

Militants attacked tourists at Besaran Meadow in Pahgam on Tuesday, killing 25 Indian citizens and a Nepali citizen, while many others were injured, 40 CRPF personnel were killed in one of the most deadly attacks in the valley since the 2019 Pulwama strike.

After the attack, India has strongly protested against Pakistan to support cross -border terrorism.

In the security meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in the Cabinet Committee, in the presence of Home Minister Amit Shah, India decided to handle the 1960 Indus Waters Treaty in 1960 until Pakistan reliably and irresponsibly ended its support for terrorism crossing the border and closed the Unified Atari check post.

India has also declared officials of the personality of the Pakistani High Commission as non -adults and ordered them to leave India within a week. The country further decided to cancel any visa provided under the SARC Visa Rebate Scheme (SSES) and ordered Pakistan to leave the country within 48 hours.

The Government of India has immediately decided to suspend visa services for effectively effective effective Pakistani citizens. All the existing valid visas issued by India to Pakistani citizens will be effective from 27 April 2025, in a press release.
