Union Minister’s “No Water” response to Bilawal Bhutto’s “blood” danger


New Delhi:

Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri today released a sharp response after the recent comments of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chief Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari’s Sindhu Waters Treaty (IWT). Pahgam Terror Attack On Tuesday.

Mr. Puri comes in view of comments Sri Bhutto-Zardari’s inflammatory speech At a public rally in Sukkur, Sindh province. Addressing the supporters, the PPP president had said, “Sindhu is ours and ours will remain – either our water will flow through it, or through their blood.”

Reacting to Mr. Bhutto-Zardari’s statement, Mr. Puri commented, “I heard his statement. Ask him to jump somewhere in the water. Well, when it will not be water, how will it be? How will it be dignity of such statements. They will understand.”

“The initiative incident is an uncontrolled cross -border terrorist attack by a neighboring state, and they are taking responsibility, and on the contrary, no business will continue. India reduced diplomatic relations with Islamabad after a terrorist attack in Pahgam on 22 April, killing 26 people, mainly by tourists. According to intelligence sources, terrorists involved in the attack are associated with Pakistan-based terrorist group Lashkar-e-Tabiba.

In vengeance of the suspension of the Indus Water Treaty of India, Pakistan suspended the Shimla Agreement and caught other bilateral agreement. Islamabad further announced the suspension of all trade activities, shut down its airspace for Indian airlines, and warned that no attempt would be considered as “war work” by India to remove water in fate for Pakistan under IWT.

The Shimla Agreement was signed between former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and the then Pakistani President Zulfikar Ali Bhutto (Bilawal’s grandfather) in 1972, after the 1971 war, there was a major jump in diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif addressed the Pahalgam terror attack at a graduate ceremony at the Pakistan Military Academy in Kakal in Kaibar-Pakhtunkhwa province. Expressing the desire of Pakistan to participate in a neutral investigation, Mr. Sharif said, “The recent tragedy in Pahalgam is still another example of this permanent defect game, which should come at a piece stop. The country continues with its role as a responsible country, Pakistan is open to participate in any neutral, transparent and reliable investigation.”
