New Delhi:

The Intelligence Bureau (IB) has submitted the list of about 5,000 Pakistani citizens living in the national capital to the Delhi Police to ensure that these people have returned home.

The visa of Pakistan citizens has been canceled in view of the recent instructions of the Center, which has recently been inspired by a terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The Foreign Regional Registration Office (FRRO) shared the list with a special branch of Delhi Police, and was shared with the respective district for further verification and identity.

The list includes the names of Hindu Pakistan citizens who have long -term visas (LTVs) and are exempted.

A senior official said, “The list has been handed over to the district concerned for verification, and Pakistani citizens have been asked to return to their motherland. The Middle and North East districts have a high number of Pakistani citizens living in the area.”

The official said that a meeting was called on the matter and the Delhi Police has been directed to take immediate action on the matter. Senior officials are monitoring the situation.

Officials of the Delhi Police and Special Bureau of Intelligence Bureau have been asked to collect information about these Pakistani citizens living in Delhi and leave them as soon as possible.

Another official confirmed that he had two lists from 3000 and 2000 Pakistan living in Delhi. There are some names that overlap, and it is subject to verification of their stay as many Pakistan citizens have already left.

On Friday, MHA issued an order from 27 April, 2025, except for effective medical, diplomatic and long -term visas, an order about the review of visa of Pakistan citizens. The current medical visa will also be invalid after April 29, 2025.

The government later clarified that LTVs already given to Hindu Pakistani citizens will be valid.
