How long does it take for professionals to come to office? The report says …


New Delhi:

According to a new report, thousands of professionals employed in the Global Production Centers (GCCs) in Bengaluru, Hyderabad and the National Capital Region (NCR) worked anywhere between 45 and 55 minutes. This means that an employee spends about 5 percent of his lifetime to come to the workplace.

The duration also depends on the industry and location, according to a report by an employee, an employee, an employee commut platform tracking tracking trends in Q1 2025. In Bengaluru, professionals travel 15 km in about 50 minutes. The report states that the retail workers spend for a long time – for 54 minutes – while the IT professionals are slightly faster, average 46 minutes.

In Hyderabad, workers travel about 16 km in 45 minutes. According to the 2025 Committeer Trend, retail employees report the longest period of 54 minutes.

In the National Capital Region – Delhi, Gururam, Noida and Faridabad – Stretch for 22 km at the time of travel. Healthcare professionals raised the brunt of a long journey, often it takes an hour to reach their office.

While hybrid work has reduced the number of people traveling in office, commut time is a matter of concern.

Bangalore and Hyderabad professionals usually come two to three days a week, while employees in NCR travel slightly more continuously. The presence of the office is also different from the sector – the industrial and energy professional NCRs have four to five days a week in the office, compared to the retail employees who can go weekly once or twice.

Midweak has become the most popular time for in-office work. The highest attendance appears in all three cities on Wednesday, indicating a strong change in the workplace routine. Conversely, Monday and Friday are lower footfall witnesses, the report states.

India remains a global center for GCC, with an increase of 32% in the centers in the last five years. Bengaluru, Hyderabad and NCR are leading this development.
