Police said five people were killed and two were injured when their fast car entered a logistics vehicle near Thotapalli village in the district on Monday afternoon.
One person faced serious injuries and the other is in critical condition. He said that he was admitted to the hospital by the local people.
A senior police officer said, “The car entered the logistics vehicle from behind, killing five people. It is clearly a case of careless driving.”
According to the registration number plates, the car is from Tamil Nadu, while the logistics vehicle was from Karnataka.
