RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday, a conversation that came under the backdrop of the horrific Pahgam terror attack, in which 26 civilians were released, mostly tourists, dead.
Home Minister Amit Shah was considered part of the meeting with Mr. Bhagwat. He exchanged views on the Prime Minister’s residence amidst the weight of its options after a terrorist strike on April 22 by terrorists associated with Pakistan.
Sources said that the meeting was in connection with the initiative attack.
The meeting is important for the ruling BJP with the Hindutva organization and if there is a huge network across the country, the meeting is important.
Mr. Bhagwat met PM Modi only at the official residence of the Prime Minister on a few occasions.
PM Modi presided over a meeting of the top defense establishment, which headed the top defense establishment including Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, NSA Ajit Dawal, Head of Defense Staff General Anil Chauhan and the three heads of the armed forces.
The RSS condemned the terrorist strike in the form of an attack on the unity and integrity of the country and called for a proper punishment for them.
It has said, “All political parties and associations should rise above their differences and condemn this terrorist Act. The government should ensure all necessary relief and assistance to the affected families and ensure proper punishment for those responsible for this attack.”
