The Indian Air Force Jaguar fighter jet burnt the sky by a flash of Prakash with an crash near Jamnagar in Gujarat on Wednesday night. A CCTV camera footage from a house in Suwarda village where the jet crashed in moments caught before the incident.
The fighter jet crashed in an open area at around 9.30 am after experiencing a technical malfunction, with one of the pilots on the training mission safely. The pilot that was thrown out was injured, while the other pilot died as he failed to get out of the jet on time.
As soon as the jet crashed into an open field, it exploded in flames, which was later submerged by firefighters.
The injured pilot, who is currently admitted to Guru Gobind Singh government hospital, is in a stable position and out of danger.
There was no casualties on the ground and the cause of the accident was not immediately known.
A court inquiry has been ordered by the IAF to investigate the cause of the accident and determine the leading circumstances for technical failure.
