Ringing racket in NEET UG exam Busted in Noida, 3 arrested

In a large crack, Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) has busted a gang accused of rigging NEET UG and other competitive examinations, and arrested three persons from Noida in Gautam Buddha Nagar district.

The accused have been identified as Vikram Kumar Shah, Dharampal Singh and Anid Kumar. Arrests were made in Sector 3 under the limits of Charan -1 police station of Gautam Buddha Nagar district.

The accused has now been booked under Bharti Nyaya Santita (BNS) under FIR No. 182/2025 at Charan -1 police station in Gautam Buddha Nagar under FIR No. 182/2025, 336, 337, 338, 340, 340, and 61 (2). The local police has further initiated legal proceedings.

The STF has seized a significant amount of evidence from the accused, including six calling mobile phones, four individual phones, two encrypted Aadhaar cards, a candidate data sheet, a PAN card, a credit card, a voter ID, a passport, a passport, a check book, a Apple McBook and a Toyota Fortuner.

While working on the specific intelligence received on May 3, the STF Noida Unit was raided the gang’s office in Sector 3 under the supervision of Additional SP Raj Kumar Mishra and Deputy SP Navanda Kumar.

The tip-off revealed that the gang members were contacting relatives of NEET UG candidates, leaking papers in exchange for a large amount and offering guaranteed passing.

According to STF, the accused was caught with red hand and immediately taken into custody. During interrogation, 30 -year -old Vikram Kumar Shah revealed that he was originally from Darbhanga, Bihar and had gone to Vinayaka Mission University in Chennai for a biotechnology degree in 2011. There, he met the co-appointed ignorant Kumar, and both started arrangements for admission to the university for 30 percent of the Commission.

Graduation, Shah moved to Delhi, where he met Dharammel Singh. Together, he formed a company called “Admission View” and began collecting data on MBBS candidates. The STF said that they allegedly approached the families of the students, promised guaranteed admission and demanded Rs 5 lakh per candidate.

The gang advised the candidates to fill only those answers in the OMR sheet, which they were sure and left empty. They will then arrange to change the OMR sheet filled with the correct answers. If the candidate received admission, the gang kept the money; Otherwise, he delayed the refund and fled when legal pressure increased.

After several complaints surfaced, the gang made another firm in 2023, “Shuranvi Edu OPC Private Limited,” registered in Noida Sector 3, and resumed the operation of the same fraud, which STF was mentioned.

Further investigation is going on.
