“Measured” its air strikes as India’s briefing

New Delhi:

Accurate, controlled, restrained, calibrated, responsible – these are some words that have been repeatedly used in government briefing as India launched Operation Sindoor to avenge the Pahgam terror attack in which 26 innocent were killed in cold blood.

This briefing by Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, Colonel Sophia Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh clarified the government and the government’s intentions for the world. Therefore, someone can be assured that every word mentioned in these briefing is very thoughtful.

Repeated use of these words underlines to establish India’s amazing message that Pakistan is aggressive in the ongoing struggle and has been well employed and controlled by New Delhi, in contrast to Islamabad’s careless aggressively targeted civilians. It also communicates the situation in India that while it will not start aggression, any attack will get a tough response. Mr. Misri also emphasized that the “original growth” in this struggle was the Pahgam terror attack on 22 April.

On 7 May, in the first government briefing after Operation Sindoor, Wing Commander Singh said the airstrikes were carried out with “accurate capacity”. He said, “Top technology weapons were ensured with careful selection of warheads, so that there was no collateral damage. The point of impact on each of the target was a specific building or a group of buildings,” he said, sharing the video of the operation. He said, “All goals were neutralized with clinical efficiency, and the results of the Indian Armed Forces were repeated in the plan and execution of their operation. No military establishments were targeted. India has demonstrated a lot of restraint in his response,” he said.

Mr. Misri said that India’s works were “measured, non-esclery, proportional and responsible”.

In briefing on 8 May, Foreign Secretary Misri said that India does not intend to increase matters. “And our response has been targeted, accurate, controlled and measured. No military targets have been chosen. Only terrorist infrastructure has been hit in Pakistan.”

India’s aerial attack on terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir attracted a careless misconception from Pakistan as it fired hundreds of drones in many Indian cities in the western region, which started from the center of Jammu and Kashmir to Rajasthan. These drones and missile strikes were with shells from across the huge border, causing many civilians. Sharing the government’s response, Mr. Misri said that the Indian armed forces responded to Pakistan’s aggression “proportionally, adequately and responsibility”. He underlined that Pakistan was spreading lies like Indian forces targeting its cities. “This is nothing but a desperate effort to remove its acts of aggression by Pakistan.”

He also said that India has been “responsible but responsible” in response to Pakistan’s aggression.

During the briefing yesterday, Mr. Misri reiterated that Indian military units have “responded to Pakistan’s drone attacks in adequate and in a responsible manner”. He used the term “irresponsible” to describe Pakistan, which was not shutting down his civilian airspace, which was using passenger airlines as a “shield” amidst aerial air exchange with India.

In today’s briefing, Wing Commander Singh used the word “accurate” three times. Referring to Pakistan’s drone aggressive last night, he said, “In a sharp and calibrated response, the Indian armed forces made accurate attacks on only identified military goals. These included technical infrastructure, command and control centers, radar sites and arms storage areas. Fixed weapons from our fighter jets.

Mr. Misri said that these are Pakistani actions that have formed provocation and growth. “In response, and I repeat, in response, India has rescued and reacted to these stimuli and these growth in a responsible and measured fashion by the Pakistani side,” he said.

The semantics of India’s Operation Sindoor messaging were also given by External Affairs Minister. S. Jaishankar’s social media post is reflected. An experienced diplomat, Dr. Jaishankar has repeatedly described India’s reaction as “targeted” and “measured”. However, he has made it clear that “any increase will get a firm response”.

Pakistan’s aggression in words

Unlike the language measured in India’s briefing, the statements of Pakistan’s leadership on war are no less than aggressive. In response to India’s air strike, Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said, “Pakistan will take revenge. We will take this war to the end.” Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhary, who heads the media branch of the Pakistan Army, said he was ready for any incident. “They want to continue it, okay. But what they have started, I will tell you, we will complete it,” he said.

Before the violence began, Pakistan minister Hanif Abbasi warned that if India tried to block water to Pakistan after suspension of the Indus Water Treaty, “they should be ready for war”. “The military equipment we have and the missiles we have are not to show. Nobody knows where our nuclear weapons are stored across the country. I repeat, all our ballistic missiles are targeted on you.”

Some statements of Pakistan leaders have also been the cause of embarrassment. In an interview by CNN, Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khwaja Asif was asked about his claim that Pakistan had shot Indian aircraft, some by New Delhi. The minister replied that “all this is on social media”. The CNN anchor had to intervene and told him, “I am sorry that we did not ask you to talk about social media content here.”
