The Honor Magic V5 is expected to be launched as the successor of the Honor Magic V3, which was unveiled in China in July 2024. The company has been extended to release the Magic V4 Monicer. The alleged book-style foldable will probably come with a larger battery than the current model. The handset has now allegedly appeared on some Chinese certification sites, indicating its battery capacity and charging speed. The previous leak has suggested the possible launch timeline and chipset details of Honor Magic V5.

According to a gizmochina, an honor handset with model number MBH-AN10 was seen on China’s MIIT and 3C certification websites ReportThis honor is expected to be Magic V5. According to the listing, the phone is listed to pack 2,070mAh and 3,880mAh dual-cell battery. This means that the battery will have a rated capacity of about 5,950mAh.
The report states that the honor can market Magic V5 with a specific battery of 6,100mAh. If true, it will be the largest battery found on a foldable smartphone so far. A recent leak suggested that Vivo’s upcoming X fold 5 could pack a 6,000mAh battery.
The MIIT listing allegedly further stated that Honor Magic V5 would support Beidou-3 connectivity for low messaging services. The 3C listing of the handset suggests that it can support 66W wired fast charging similar to its predecessor.
The report states that Honor Magic V5 can carry 6.45-inch Ltpo OLED cover screen and 8-inch 2K inner display. Both panels are expected to support the 120Hz refresh rate. The handset can get an Snapdragon 8 Elite SOC and an IPX8-rated water-resistant thin build.
For optics, Honor Magic V5 will probably come with OIS support, an ultra-wide camera and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto shooter with a 50-megapixel main rear camera. The handset can support wireless charging, satellite connectivity and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for safety.
The Honor Magic V5 has been touched to launch the first in late May or in early June.
