India on Tuesday expelled a Pakistani officer working in the Pakistan High Commission to allegedly indulge in alleged espionage.
The Ministry of External Affairs (Mea) said that the officer was not involved in activities keeping in mind his official status in India and has been given 24 hours to leave the country.
The tension between the two countries increased after his four -day military confrontation.
India also issued a dimch for the Pakistani Charge D ‘affair in New Delhi on the activities of the officer.
Although Mea did not divide specific allegations against the Pakistani citizen, it is revealed that they belong to a detective case by the Punjab Police.
“The Government of India has announced a Pakistani official, working at the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi, keeping in mind its official status in India, personality non -Greta,” Mea said.
“The officer has been asked to leave India within 24 hours. A demonetisation was issued to the Affairs of the High Commission of Pakistan today,” said this.
The Punjab Police said on Sunday that it had arrested two persons, including a woman, including a woman in espionage activities associated with a Pakistani officer posted at the Pakistani High Commission in Delhi.
