Turkish News Broadcasters, TRT World and Chinese State-Managed Publicity Mouthpiece, Global Times are now available in India.
India briefly blocked both media outlets, as seen on Wednesday, due to concerns over the misinformation related to recent stress between India and Pakistan. After a small suspension, access to both TRT World and Global Times X accounts has been restored in India.
The Government of India took action against both media outlets, withdrawing its X accounts in response to legal demands. Users trying to reach these accounts were called “Account with Late” due to legal demand.

Earlier on May 8, the social media platform X received executive orders from the Government of India to block more than 8,000 accounts in India, subject to potential punishment, including important fines and imprisonment of local employees of the company, in a statement of global government matters.
Orders include demands to block access to international news organizations and major X users in India.
On 7 May, India’s embassy in China reprimanded the Chinese Media Outlet Global Times to tell that the Pakistan Army shot an Indian fighter jet and advised to verify facts and sources before publishing such reports.
“Dear @globaltimesnews, we would advise you to verify your facts and check your sources before pushing you out such disintegration,” India’s embassy in Beijing, China said on X.
During his visit to Edampur Airbase, PM Modi said, “Despite many efforts of Pakistan, our airbase, or our other defense infrastructure has not been damaged. And the credit goes to all of you, and I am proud of all of you. Every person associated with this operation has allowed credits for this.”
India has also taken action against other accounts spreading misinformation, including 16 Pakistani YouTube channel and Pakistan People’s Party President Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The action followed the recommendations of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). After the increased tension between India and Pakistan on the deadly terrorist attack in Pahgam, Pakistan People’s Party President Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and former Prime Minister Imran Khan have been suspended in India.
