New Delhi:
Uttar Pradesh Minister Baby Rani Maurya on Thursday criticized Samajwadi Party MP Ram Gopal Yadav on his remarks on Wing Commander Vyomika Singh and said that making caste-related comments is condemnable.
Indian Air Force Wing Commander Vyomika Singh recently held regular press briefing about Operation Sindoor.
Talking to Annie, Ms. Maurya said, “I just want to say that it is Sophia Qureshi or Vyomika Singh – she is the daughters of India and Ram Gopal Yadav is making comments related to her castes.
Samajwadi Party (SP) National General Secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Ram Gopal Yadav aroused controversy with his caste-based comments about Wing Commander Vyomika Singh.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh vice-president Brajesh Pathak also criticized Yadav for his comment on Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, stating that his comment has displayed the Samajwadi Party’s low mentality and anti-women views.
Speaking to ANI, Deputy CM Pathak said, “The Samajwadi Party has displayed its low mindset and anti-women views by insulting it on its caste. Ram Gopal Yadav’s statement is shameful and condemnable.”
Mr. Pathak further criticized Ram Gopal Yadav, which said that insulting Wing Commander Vyomika Singh is a complete insult to him.
He said, “Wing commander Vyomika Singh is disrespecting not only for him but for the whole nation. Wing commander Vyomika Singh is not just a name, but a symbol of India’s pride and empowerment of women,” he said.
