Bihar to give Rs 50 lakh to the family of soldiers killed in action during OP Sindoor

Army and CAPF soldiers were killed in action during Operation Sindoor.


Patna:

The Bihar government on Friday announced that every 50 lakh rupees of Gratia would be given to the family of army personnel and CAPFS killed in action during Operation Sindoor.

The decision was taken in a meeting of the State Cabinet under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

Siddharthth of Additional Chief Secretary (Cabinet Secretariat) said, “The government has decided to give a pre -Rs 50 lakhs to the immediate family members of each soldier from the state and the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFS) from the state, who made the supreme sacrifice during Operation Sindoor.”

“The cabinet approved a proposal of the State Home Department in this regard,” he said.

According to the current provision, the government gives a pre -Rs 21 lakhs to the army family and CAPFS which loses its life in separate operations.
