Bengaluru:
A man killed his wife in the middle of a road in Bengaluru on Friday night, suspected of infidelity. The incident, which came out in the full view of the public, took place in the electronic city area of the Karnataka capital.
The attacker, known as 43 -year -old Krishnappa, is a daily wage laborer from Bagpalli in Chikkabalpur district. Krishnappa killed his 35 -year -old wife, K. Sharda, a domestic worker who was strangled with a knife. The attack took place at 8 pm on Friday, as Sharada was returning home from work.
According to the police, Krishnappa traveled from Bagpalli with the intention of killing. He was waiting for his wife on his regular route. As soon as he approached, he faced him and started a cruel attack, repeatedly stabbed him in the neck. She fell on the spot and died of injuries before coming to any assistance.
As Krishnappa attempted to escape from the scene, he was chased by the local people and stopped until the police arrived.
Bangalore Deputy Commissioner Sarah Fatima along with a forensic team visited the crime site shortly after the incident.
A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
