The Oppo Reno 14 series in China was unveiled last week and is expected to be available in select global markets soon. The Reno 14 global version will come with integrated Google Gemini features, the company has confirmed. The phone’s Chinese variants Android 15-based Coloros 15 out-of-the-box, Sport 1.5K Flat OLED screens and claim to complete the IP66+IP68+IP69 dust and water-resistant ratings. Oppo Reno 14 and Reno 14 Pro are operated by MediaTek Demistance 8350 and MediaTek Demishanis 8450 chipset respectively.
Oppo Reno 14 Series Integrated Google to come up with Gemini
The Oppo Reno 14 series will launch globally with Google’s Mithun AI, which will be integrated into the core Oppo apps including Oppo notes, Oppo calendar and Oppo Clock, the company confirmed in a press release. Global variants will ship the same as your Chinese counterparts with Android 15-based Coloros 15.
With Google Gemini Integration, Oppo Reno 14 series users will be able to “complete information and direct tasks” in Gemini Chat with the same Prompt. The chat can be activated by pressing and holding the “side button”. This can indicate the power button, as the Chinese versions of the Reno 14 handset have no other functional buttons other than the volume rocker.
In a press release, Oppo said that Mithun will soon allow users to work in many apps and complete complex tasks more easily. For example, Oppo Reno 14 User can motivate the Gemini app to read a long document, and can save the summary in Oppo notes, or watch the YouTube recipe video to take steps, and save them in the native notes app. Users can also add a booked trip to the Oppo calendar app.
Oppo Reno 14 5G and Oppo Reno 14 Pro 5G Sport 6.59-inch and 6.83-inch 1.5k 1.5k 1.5K flat OLED displays of Chinese versions of OLED display respectively. Base variants receive a MediaTek Demisage 8350 SoC, while the Pro Model uses MediaTek Demispress 8450 chipset. The phone comes with LPDDR5X RAM up to 16GB and UFS 3.1 up to 1TB of onboard storage
For optics, Oppo Reno 14 5G series carry a 50-megapixel periscope camera, including 50-megapixel periscope camera, carrying a 50-megapixel OIS-supported triple rear camera units including a 50-megapixel periscope camera. Both handsets support 80W wired fast charging and in-display fingerprint sensor. The base and pro variants have a battery of 6,000mAh and 6,200mAh respectively. They claim to complete the IP66+IP68+IP69 rating for dust resistance.
