The Honor 400 series is scheduled to be launched in European markets on 22 May, including Honor 400 and Honor 400 Pro models. Before its anticipated start, Honor has announced that both smartphones will be introduced with six years of Android update. As part of its long -time cooperation with Google, the company will offer Artificial Intelligence (AI) abilities on the Honor 400 series run by the VEO 2 video generation model, allowing users to convert images into short videos.

The Honor 400 series is also confirmed to support the AI image for the video generation on the vertex, taking advantage of Google’s VEO 2 video generation model. This will enable users to change static images such as artwork and old photos, with a period of 5-7 seconds with live photos. However, this feature will not be available out-off-the-box and is expected to reach through an over-the-air (OTA) update.
In the rear window, now with Google I/O 2025, China -based OEM says it has already offered Android 16 beta program on Honor Magic 7 Pro since 7 May. Developers can update the smartphone in Android 16 Beta 3 to test the new features and port their app to the upcoming OS.
Honor 400 series specification
Vanilla Honor 400 is confirmed to run on Snapdragon 7 gene 3 chipset. This will sports a dual rear camera setup including 200-megapixel main camera and 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens. It also contains a 50-megapixel selfie shooter and an IP66-rated build.
Meanwhile, the Honor 400 Pro Snapdragon 8 General 3 will be operated by 3 SoC. It is confirmed to come up with a triple rear camera unit, including 200-megapixel main camera, 50-megapixel telephoto lens and 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensors. The phone will get a 50-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie and video calls. It will ship with ip68 + IP69 ratings with dust and water entry.
The global variants of the smartphone can pack 6,000mAh battery. Both models of the Honor 400 series will have a 1,280×2,800 pixel resolution display with 5,000-NIT peak brightness, 120Hz refresh rate and 460PPI pixel density.
