A software engineer was found dead in a hotel room in Noida, Uttar Pradesh last night. Umesh Kumar allegedly died of suicide, while his female friend with whom he was staying in the hotel was in the washroom.
The 38 -year -old software engineer, a resident of Awas Vikas Colony in Haths, Uttar Pradesh, on Thursday, along with his female friend, examined the Vamson Hotel in Noida Sector -27. A resident of Mathura told the police that he had hung the man from a roof fan when he came out of the washroom. The hotel staff was alerted after the woman shouted after seeing Mr. Kumar’s body.
Both of them were also with a dog and there was a fight before the death of a man allegedly from suicide.
Police have taken the body into custody and sent for postmortem. No suicide note was found in the room. The woman is being questioned by the Kotweli Sector -20 police. Initial investigation revealed that the man was married. However, he was living separately from his wife due to a matrimonial dispute. He filed for divorce.
