An official release said that Rajasthan Intelligence has arrested Pathan Khan, a Jaisalmer resident, for allegedly spying for Pakistan’s inter-service intelligence (ISI).
According to an official release, officials said that accused Pathan Khan visited Pakistan in 2013 and came in contact with Pakistan’s intelligence agency officials.
A case has been registered against Pathan Khan under the Official Secret Act, 1923.
In Pakistan, Khan was lured by money and training for espionage. The press note stated that even after 2013, he continued to meet Pakistan’s intelligence agency officials and shared sensitive and confidential information related to the Jaisalmer International Border with Pakistan’s handlers, the press note said.
Meanwhile, amid growing tension after a recent terrorist attack in Pahgam between India and Pakistan, villagers living near the international border in Rajasthan are working for all possibilities and say they are ready to provide all assistance to the Indian Army.
Before the Indo-Pak international border in Rajasthan, in some last villages of the Indian side, preparations and patriotic are handled by hand.
Local people in these villages say that bunkers have already been constructed to give shelter to both citizens and security forces in a military growth. The presence of the Indian Army in the region acts as a constant reminder of the state of preparations.
Local people of the region condemned the Pahalgam killings on 22 April and urged the Government of India to retaliate as per the situation.
Talking to ANI, a local villagers, Arjun Singh said, “It is absolutely necessary to respond to Pakistan. They keep us instigated, and what they did in Pahalgam kills unarmed citizens, unacceptable. The army should strike back.”
Recalling the 1971 war, the elderly man said, “I was in Ramgarh when the bombs were falling. Then, we helped the army in every way. Even today, we are ready to help, no matter the difficulty.”
Meanwhile, the Pakistani army is continuing its construction along the borders with India and deployed air defense and artillery units at further places.
Pakistan Air Force is currently doing three exercises simultaneously: Fiza-e-Bara, Lalr-e-Momin and Zarb-e-Hadari. These exercises include all major fighter aircraft fleet including F -16, J -10 and JF -17.
Defense sources said on Wednesday that the directors of military operations of India and Pakistan on Tuesday spoke on the hotline to discuss violations of unnatural ceasefire by Pakistan. He said that India warned Pakistan against Pakistan’s violations along with the Line of Control (LOC) and the international border by the Pakistan Army.
The Indian Army has effectively responded to the Pakistan Army’s unsafe small arms in the Line of Control (LOC). Officials said the army responded to a violation of ceasefire on April 27-28 on April 27-28.
After the initiative terror attack on 22 April, tension between India and Pakistan has increased, in which 26 people were killed.
