Bhopal:
An official said that the Madhya Pradesh Police formed late Monday night to constitute a three -member sitting seated in compliance with a Supreme Court order against State Minister Vijay Shah’s Colonel Sofia Qureshi.
The Special Investigation Team consists of Police Mahaniritar Verma, Deputy Inspector General Kalyan Chakraborty and Superintendent of Police Police Vahini Singh.
The Supreme Court on Monday cheated Shah for his “Crass” comment on Colonel Qureshi and formed a three -member Special Investigation Team to investigate the FIR filed against him.
The apex court asked the Director General of Madhya Pradesh to constitute a three-member SIT under the chairmanship of the IG-Rank officer till 10 am on Tuesday, including a female officer, including an FIR registered following an order from the Madhya Pradesh High Court.
The order to form the SIT was issued with a direction to ensure compliance with the apex court order by the Director General of Police (DGP) Kailash Makwana.
Senior IPS officer Pramod Verma is currently posted as Inspector General (IG) Sagar Range, Kalyan Chakraborty, posted as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) SAF, Bhopal and Vahini Singh, which is in the form of SP Dindori.
Shah came into the fire after a video, which was widely distributed, allegedly made an objectionable comment against Colonel Qureshi, who gained nationwide prominence with another female officer, wing commander Vyomika Singh during media briefing on Operation Sindoor.
The High Court of Madhya Pradesh reprimanded Shah to pass the “Gutters’ comments and to use the” Gutter’s language “against Colonel Qureshi and ordered the police to file an FIR against him for promoting hostility and hatred.
After serious condemnation, the MP Minister has expressed regret and said that he respects Colonel Qureshi more than his sister.
