A UI 8 beta for the Samsung Galaxy S24 was designed to roll out on August 13; Galaxy s23 beta to follow soon

Samsung recently announced the expansion of one of its UI 8 beta program to include more handsets. However, the company stopped disclosing the exact timeline of the firmware rollouts. Now the information has come out, courtesy of a tipster. A UI 8 beta for the Samsung Galaxy S24 series has been tipped to start from next week. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S23 series users may be able to experience beta updates and experiments with all new features in September.

A UI 8 beta for Samsung Galaxy S24 series

Tarun Vats shared information about a UI 8 beta release schedule in a post on X (East Twitter). According to the tipster, the beta update for the Galaxy S24 series will be released on 13 August. It will also be rolled out for the Galaxy S23 series starting from 8 September.

This in line with Samsung’s August 5 announcement, where it revealed the expansion of a UI 8 beta program. At that time, the Tech giant stated that a UI 8 beta for the Galaxy S24 series with Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 will be released “next week”.

Meanwhile, models like Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy A55 5G, and Galaxy A35 5G will receive updates starting from September.

Once available, users can sign up for beta program through Samsung member app, which is available in a total of 36 countries. However, note that the availability of facilities based on the living country of users will be different, and not all areas will get equal facilities.

Interestingly, the South Korean tech group is also planning a UI 8 release, which is already out of already mentioned equipment. This is clear from the alleged discovery of the earlier A UI 8 Test Build for Galaxy S21 Fe On Samsung’s server. It was listed with build number G990Exxuhhyh2.

In particular, the stable build of Android 16-based firmware is already available, but it is limited to the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE model, which was unveiled in the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event in July.
