In a shocking incident, a woman was allegedly gang in a gang in a gang in front of her two sons in a private bus in Davangere district of Karnataka. The police have arrested three accused rapists in connection with the case.
According to sources, the victim was returning home in a bus after leaving for a famous religious center UCChangidurga Temple in a bus with his children, which is located in Harpanahalli in Davanagre district.
The driver, conductor and assistant of the bus gang raped her near Chanpura village, which is close to the city of Davangere.
The shocking thing is that the local police tried to uproot the case, and the action was started only after the intervention of Vijayanagar SP, Srihari Babu Blue.
Initial information indicates that the victim, the victim from Vijayanagar district, came to a religious fair at the famous Ukchagidurg temple on 31 March and attended a religious fair. She was late and took the last bus from Ukgangidurg to Davanagre city.
The bus had seven to eight passengers. Once all other passengers disintegrated, the accused persons committed the crime. Sources said that the driver took the bus near Chanpura to a separate place and dodged the children with clothes in their mouths. He also tied his hands and his mother was gang -raped in front of him.
However, farmers who were in their fields and passers -by reached the spot and rescued the woman.
The three accused – driver Prakash Madiwalara, conductor Suresh and Helper Rajshekar – were arrested and handed over to the Arassicare police. Sources said that one of the accused has seven former cases against him.
It is alleged that even though the local people informed the police and handed over the accused to the judicial Arassicare police, they did not register the case initially. He allegedly received the signature of the victim on an empty sheet of paper.
The police reportedly gave him Rs 2,000 and asked him to buy new clothes as he was torn. In addition, he allegedly advised him not to make an issue of the incident, stating that it would be difficult for him to live.
They then dropped her back to the Ukchangidurg temple. The police allegedly told him that when necessary, they would call him and asked him to go home. The victim spent the night in the temple premises with his children. It is alleged that the police allowed the accused persons to go.
Somehow, local Dalit leaders learned about the woman and her two sons and contacted her by staying in the temple for days.
Subsequently, the leaders informed Vijayanagar SP, Srihari Babu about the incident.
Knowing about this, SP Srihari Babu asked the victims and Dalit leaders to come to Arassicare police station. The SP reached the police station and, under his supervision, the victim’s statements were recorded and the accused was arrested again, the sources confirmed.
