Above man, who killed his wife, sentenced to life in jail

The case was filed in 2021.

Bareilly:

A court here sentenced a person to life imprisonment in 2021 for killing his wife.

Judge Gyanendra Tripathi of Additional District and Sessions on Saturday imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on the convict Manoj.

Additional District Government Advocate (ADGC) Sunil Pandey said that Manoj, a resident of Karli village, had closed his wife Mamta without food and water in a room after a quarrel.

The case came to light when the neighbors complained to the police about a smell coming out of his house. The police found the disintegrated body of Mamta wrapped in a blanket under the bed.

Later a case was filed against Manoj by Mama’s father.

Pandey said that the court found that Mamta died due to hunger and thirst.
