Bareilly:
Police said that at the age of about nine to 10 months, an abandoned baby was saved from a dilapidated structure on Sunday morning by Bollywood actress Disha Patani’s sister, Khushbo Patni.
Khushboo Patani climbed a wall to save the child, he said.
The child was found near the Bareilly residence of Disha, where Kushbo lives with his father, retired police circle officer Jagdish Patani. His brave act is being widely appreciated in the city.
According to the Circle Officer (City-I) Pankaj Srivastava, the fragrance was out for a morning walk when he listened to the cry of the child from a abandoned building nearby.
Srivastava said, “There was no direct access to the structure, so he took a courageous step to climb a wall to reach the spot. Inside, he found an infant lying on the ground, crying and appearing on the face,” Srivastava said.
She immediately brought her baby home and administered first aid.
The family then informed the police about the incident. The child was later admitted to the district hospital, where treatment is going on, the police said.
The police have started investigating CCTV footage from the surrounding area to identify this to leave the child.
Srivastava said, “Efforts are underway to find out those responsible for leaving the child in such a situation.”
