The ceasefire was announced by Foreign Secretary Misri during a press briefing on Saturday evening. Mr. Misri found himself the subject of coordinated trolling on social media platforms. In the attacks, from questioning his patriotism, personal information about his family was a step, widely condemned by civil society, political figures and former diplomats.

We urge all to maintain respect and decorations, accepting their dedicated service and significant contribution to the nation.”

Asaduddin Owaisi, president of the All India Magistrate-E-Itahdul Muslimeen (IMIM), also pacified in support of Mr. Misri.

“Shri Vikram Misri is a civilized, honest, hard -working diplomat who is tirelessly effort for our nation. Our civil servants work under the executive, it should be remembered and they should not be convicted for any political leadership who run the executive or any political leadership,” he posted on X.

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav said that such “baseless and disgusting statements” demolish honest officials who dedicate themselves to the service of the nation.

“It is the responsibility of the government to take this decision – not a personal officer,” Mr. Yadav wrote. “Some anti -social criminal elements are openly crossing all the boundaries of derogatory language against the officer and their family, but neither the BJP government nor any of its ministers are coming forward to protect their respect and respect or are discussing possible action against those who make such unwanted posts.”

The Ministry of External Affairs has not released the official comment on the trolling incident. However, several retired officials, including experienced diplomat Nirupama Menon Rao, have expressed concern about the set set.
