After India’s attacks, 6 applications trademark ‘Operation Sindoor’ Pahalgam terrorist attacks filed for India Pakistan

Six trademark applications for ‘Operation Sindoor’ were filed on Thursday, a day later India removed a barrage of missiles at terrorist bases in Pakistan, even one of the petitions was withdrawn later.

Mumbai resident Mukesh Chetram Aggarwal, retired group captain Kamal Singh Ober, Delhi -based lawyer Alok Kothari, Jayaraj T and Uttam ran for trademark ‘Operation vermilion‘ – Codename for military attacks.

In his petitions, Mr. Aggarwal and Mr. Jaira also claimed the logo, which was released by the Government of India on Wednesday. As a result, this application is tagged with “Vienna codification” – a classification is used when a trademark contains visual elements like logo or design to suit the Vienna Agreement.

Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) also filed a trademark application but later withdrawn it. In a statement, it was said that the petition was inadvertently filed by a junior person without the authority.

All applications were filed under the Trademark Class 41 with patent design and the controller general of the trademark, including services such as education, entertainment, film and web series production, cultural activities and language training.

An intellectual property lawyer in the Delhi High Court told NDTV that anyone can file for a trademark related to government operation as there is no such restriction as per the Trademark Act. “This is always a race – whatever the files first benefit,” the lawyer said.

However, the Government of India has the right to object under Section 9 (1) (A) of the Trademark Act, which prohibits traces of trade that can cause deception or may be against public interest.

The trademark registration process can be more than a year, but applicants can pay a fee of ₹ 40,000 to accelerate the process.

In early Wednesday, the Indian armed forces carried out 24 accurate missile attacks on nine terrorist goals in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK), including Muridke and Bahwalpur-Atkavadi groups stronghold Lashkar-e-Tabi and Jaish-E-Mohamad (Gem). On April 22, 26 lives – 25 Indians and a Nepali citizen – 26 Jeevan – 25 Indians and a Nepali citizen claiming a terrorist attack in Pahgam in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir.

On Thursday, the Ministry of Defense said the armed forces on Wednesday night using drones and missiles to thwart efforts by the Pakistani Army to attach several military goals in 15 cities of northern and western India. A Pakistani air defense system in Lahore was also destroyed, it was added.
