After the Indo-Pak ceasefire, Omar Abdullah says that explosions are heard in Srinagar

New Delhi/Srinagar:

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said in a post on X that he heard some “blast” in Srinagar.

After minutes, many residents of the city posted visuals on X, in which they claimed that the drone in the night sky had a trasher’s fire by anti-airyft guns.

A few hours after the announcement by both India and Pakistan, the post of Shri Abdullah came, they agreed to the ceasefire. US President Donald Trump made the same announcement about two nuclear-host neighbors.

Mr. Abdullah said in the post on X, “What happened only for the ceasefire? There were explosions in Srinagar,”

Soon, he posted an update, which included a video: “This is not a ceasefire. The air defense units in the middle of Srinagar have just opened.”

Sources said that by 9.52 pm, the reports of fire and explosions in Srinagar along the Line of Control (LOC) were closed.

Gujarat Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi said on X that drones were also seen in Kutch district.

He said, “Many drones have been seen in Kutch district. A full blackout will now be implemented. Please be safe, do not panic,” he said.

In a post on X, the Border Security Force (BSF) said that Deputy Inverted MD Imtez was killed in action during cross-border firing in RS Pura region of Jammu region.

In Patiala, DC said they will inform the public well on time if there is an adjacent threat, but there is nothing to worry about at this time.

In Amritsar, DC stated that there were reports of ceasefire violations and they would apply a blackout if needed.
