All police leaves in Madhya Pradesh were canceled amid India-Pakistan tension

After Operation Sindoor, tension between India and Pakistan increased, the Madhya Pradesh government has canceled all the leaves of police personnel across the state.

A notification issued by Madhya Pradesh Police Headquarters (PHQ) on Friday morning said: “All the leaves for police personnel in the state have been canceled.”

PHQ has also alerted all the district superintendents of police (SPS), which has been instructed to ensure readiness for any emergency.

Police Director General Kailash Makwana is scheduled to organize a video conference with all SPs on Friday to review internal security and establish specific guidelines.

The district-level patrol has intensified, and police personnel have been directed to drive awareness in the villages.

Cyber ​​police are actively monitoring online platforms to curb misinter information and false stories.

In Indore, the district administration has given prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Indian Municipal Security Code (BNSS) to maintain law and order.

Indore Police Commissioner Santosh Kumar Singh has banned all public meetings, including religious, political and social programs, without prior permission from the competent authority.

The occupation of weapons, ammunition, or explosive materials has been banned in public and private places, including incidents such as processions, protests, religious ceremonies and weddings. This order refuses to have any item that can pose a threat to public safety.

Violations will face action under Section 223 of the Joint Code of India (BNS). The prohibitory order will remain in effect till 4 July.

After a mock drill on Wednesday, the police is completely ready for any incident in Madhya Pradesh.

The leaves of police personnel in other states including Punjab and Haryana have also been canceled. The border states have been asked to be on increased alert, especially in view of the increasing tension with Pakistan.
