Amit Shah on Operation Sindoor

Ahmedabad:

This was the first time after independence that the Indian armed forces covered a distance of 100 km inside Pakistan, giving a response to the terrorists, on Saturday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, as they praised ‘Operation Sindoor’.

Addressing a gathering in Kolwara village in Gandhinagar district, Mr. Shah said that the whole world is praising the capacity of the Indian Army and the determination of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He said that the Indian armed forces abolished about 100 terrorists, destroyed the headquarters of terrorist organizations, and also destroyed 15 military establishments, which eventually reduced the capacity of Pakistan’s Air Force.

Mr. Shah, who is on a two -day visit to Gujarat since Saturday, said that PM Modi coined the word ‘Operation Sindoor’ in honor of the women of the country.

Before PM Modi became PM, terrorist attacks were taking place at regular intervals for many years, but now it is not so.

“Terrorists used to come from Pakistan, kill our soldiers and people, and go away. They used to bomb and bomb India. But they were never given any response,” said Mr. Shah, a Lok Sabha MP from Gandhinagar.

He said that after taking over by PM Modi, there were three major terrorist attacks in India – Uri, Pulwama and Pahalgam last month.

He said that PM Modi has given a response, and the whole world is watching with surprise, while Pakistan is experiencing it with fear, he said.

He said, “He (Pakistan -based terrorists) did not learn a lesson from India’s reaction in the past and a terrorist attack in Pahgam. This time, under Operation Sindoor, we destroyed the headquarters of terrorist organizations,” he said.

“Today, I have come with great pride to say that we took the initiative attack by taking the headquarters of Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Tabiba to the ground.

India had a military reaction to the Operation Sindoor Pahgam attack, in which 26 people were shot dead in cold blood on 22 April.

According to Mr. Shah, the Indian armed forces not only destroyed the headquarters of terrorist organizations, but also destroyed nine camps that were being used to train terrorists and infiltrate them into India.

“In many places in Pakistan -occupied Kashmir (POK), such as Muzaffarabad, Bahawalpur and Muridke, our armed forces attacked 100 km inside the region of Pakistan and gave a reply to the terrorists. India’s action ended about 100 terrorists working from Pakistan.”

The Union Home Minister said that India has sent a message that if Indian citizens are targeted, they will respond with double intensity.

Thanks to India’s air defense system, not a single Pakistani drone or missile touched the ground when the neighboring country started attacks, he said.

“In response, India destroyed 15 military establishments including its airports, without harming the general Pakistani citizens. India showed Pakistan that you cannot stop our missiles. This is the first after independence that the Indian Army went 100 km inside Pakistan and destroyed terrorist camps.”

He said, “They (Pakistan) used to threaten us to have nuclear power. They thought we would be afraid of their dangers. But it did not happen. Our army, Navy and Air Force gave them a reply,” he said.

Shri Shah said that the whole world is praising India for the accuracy of its military attacks, which shows restraint, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s strong resolution.

“Whenever there is talks about military campaigns in the world, Operation Sindoor will also be discussed. The Prime Minister named himself ‘Operation Sindoor’ in honor of our mothers and sisters.”

He said, “Prime Minister Modi fulfilled the promise made in Bihar after the Pahalgam attack – that India would take revenge and end the terrorists,” he said.

In this program, Mr. Shah inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for various development works worth more than Rs 700 crore.
