Android 16 Beta 4.1 4K with fixing for video recording, roll out for battery drain issues pixel

Google on Wednesday rolled out Android 16 Beta 4.1 for developers and examiners. Initially available on pixel devices, it comes as the latest test version of Google’s operating system, affecting users in previous versions. This includes improvement for issues related to 4K video recording, haptix, weather map and Google app. Mountain view-based tech veteran says it continuously improves battery drain issues that have been reported on the pixel phone.

Android 16 beta 4.1 update: What’s new

Android 16 Beta 4.1 makes the second major platform stability on the previous release, which meant that developer API and all app-fesing behavior in this version are final and will be released in public version. Google’s release notes Explain that the latest beta cures a problem, which causes poor hiptic performance when using the app drawer, typing, or back gesture.

This update also fixes a bug that affects 4K video recording when using 4K telephoto zoom. According to Google’s problem tracker, the camera closed after a few seconds while recording 4K 30 FPS. The radar map was also reported to disappear in the Pixel Weather app. Other fixes are for known issues related to infections and the Google app crashed when loading a website.

Meanwhile, a battery drain was also reported with a “high” effect. It was reported to be together and is fixed after the Android 16 beta 4.1 update.
