Anti-terrorism agency NIA arrested 2 to kill a woman in Manipur Ziribam last year


New Delhi:

Officials said the National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested two persons related to restricted terrorist groups banned for cruel killing and burning and looting of a woman by armed terrorists in Ziribam district of Manipur in November last year.

Accused Nongthombam Meeraba, belonging to Bishanupur district and the accused rebel group, belonging to United National Liberation Front (UNLF), allegedly involved in the shooting of a woman known as Zosangkim in Zairevan village, he said.

The other accused, Sagolsam Santiaba alias Surachandra Singh alias Piba’s Thubal district, was a member of the Kalley Nagana Nagana Lup (KYKL), who was another rebellious organization in Mantpur, and allegedly part of Carnez in Carnez.

He said that both the accused are in custody NIA till 17 May, and further investigation in the case is going on.
