Apple is said to have finalized the final locations for new stores in India in an attempt to broaden its retail operations. According to a report, the Cupertino-based tech veteran has planned to open its third store in the country at the DLF Mall of India in Noida. Meanwhile, Copa Mall in Pune is allegedly finalized as a place for the fourth Apple Store in India. In addition, the company is also said to have planned to open two additional stores, causing the total number of Apple stores in the country to six.
New Apple Store Location in India
Citing anonymous sources, financial express Reports He is planning to start his second phase of retail expansion in Apple India. As part of its plans, the company has already finalized Noida and Pune places for its third and fourth Apple stores respectively. Apart from these places, the iPhone manufacturer is also asked to search for two more adequate places for two more shops in Bengaluru and Mumbai.
In particular, the company currently has two official stores in India, located at the selected Citywalk Mall in Delhi and the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in Mumbai. Both these shops reported a joint revenue of the rupee. 800 crores in the first year of sales, Apple SAKET has a 60 percent stake despite having a small store. If Apple proceeds with its reported plans, Noida Apple Store will become the second retail outlet for the iPhone manufacturer in Delhi-NCR.
In addition, the employed Mumbai store will potentially be the city’s second official Apple Store. The report mentions the job listing on LinkedIn posted by Apple for 20 posts, most of which are related to retail operations.
In particular, Deirdre O’Brien, senior vice president of Apple’s retail, allegedly announced the company’s expansion plans in October 2024 for the first time. Shortly thereafter, the company adopted a recruitment frenzy, which included the work of hiring about 400 employees to expand the operation of its upcoming India. Apple’s current select CITYWALK Mall and BKC stores are estimated to have 90–100 employees in each, and the company is projected to plan similar recruitment numbers for its future stores in Bangalore, Pune, Delhi-NCR and Mumbai.
